    Apparently these two apps will be google's iMessage and FaceTime.

    So will Allo replace one's SMS app completely (and handle SMS and MMS as well as Allo messaging)?

    This is what Android needs, the Priv needs. I'm excited. And end-to-end encryption.

    And there are rumors that we'll see iMessage for Android next week. Interesting. The Rome can't arrive soon enough.

    Hard to say how well it will fly. It's like Google is just throwing out messaging apps to see what sticks.
