    Really? No problems at all on Priv? Thats kinda why I'm asking. Not sure if phone, network or textra issue. Keep getting message saying "Unfortunately, SMS app stopped"

    My favorite is 8SMS. Lots of LED light colors to choose from and able to create custom vibration patterns.

    The main question is, has anyone found a texting app that doesn't have group text/MMS issues? I've tried Textra, EvolveSMS, and now on ChompSMS..

    Yes. I actually don't see much difference between textra and Chompsms. Same developer.

    Is there a BBY SMS app backed into the Privs hub?
    If not, thats kind of crazy...a 3rd party app for SMS, how can it be safe?

    Does it sync with hub by chance. Was curious about signal myself but also want a video calling app since BBM isn't doing it..

    Plus eff.org ranked signal one of the most secure..

    But I have also been looking at Soma and VIPole as comparison since they support encrypted video calls

    I have been using 8sms for a long time on other devices. Because of the post in this thread I tried Textra. I'm a convert, very nice app.

    Only flaw I can really see in Textra is that when you get a new text. It shows as already read in the hub

    No there isnt, and yes its crazy. Stock messenger is the worst communications feature of the device. I really hope BlackBerry is working on a SMS app.

    I used Textra for a bit but i couldn't get mms messages, and there would always be a notification saying to check my Textra mms settings, i tried playing around with the settings but could never get it working, i gave up and went back to using the stock app

    Exactly the same here! Why can't someone develop one that does both SMS & MMS w/ out issues.
