Every damn corner of these droids we get an ad goodness gracious it's very annoying.... Is there any apps to block these things?

Wonder if BlackBerry is getting a cut from all this revenue?

There is no solution for this! This is actually "Android" selling your behaviour and search to sellers and earning money. You are an entity now

That's true, even my BBM's feed is full of ads now. Almost everyday I receive invitations from sponsored accounts. It's android's fault.

Most apps offer a pay option to get rid of the ads. The reality is that developers need to make a living too.

    Try lucky patcher,

Download the apk, patch the app for ad free or to run it off line as well, works for me .

    Really? The answer is marketers.

I should know, I'm one of them.

I'll try to keep this simple, there are all kinds of ads, in app, search, etc. But I'll only mention the standard ads that come up on the side of websites, and only those done by Google adwords.

There are other ad providers, but to keep it simple, we'll stick to this.

    Let's say I sell smartphones.

You as an individual, do a lot of searching on smartphones, mention them a lot on online forums, and are always searching about them.

Well, Google, and others, track that. They track the type of sites you visit, what words you search. What type of apps you download, etc.

Now me, as a marketer, I pay google to show my ads only to those who like smartphones. If I sold soap, I would pick someone else to show my ads to.

The whole process is far more complicated than that, but the short answer is marketers.

If you worry about it, use Firefox with AdBlock plugin instead.

Yes Google has all your information and Google keep that information on their servers and don't share?? Why I need to troll anybody? I am using Priv an android device and these are my observations! You don't have to agree with that. Keep spreading your words "Google and Security" wt the F. At least do your job correctly

    Read the Google TOS.
