The only app store for android apps I can actually use with today's OS update is amazon. Snap and mobile1 won't load on my z30. The downloads of the install file simply won't function.

Is there something I need to do first?

I'm looking for instagram and can't find it in the Amazon app store.

    All help is appreciated.

Download the Snap .bar file - http://redlightoflove.com/ota/Snap-latest.bar to your computer.

Sideload Snap. Once sideloaded, you should be able to install all the Android apps you want, right from the Google Play Store.

I am having the same problem myself, only I am on ATT and have not gotten the official update. I know SNAP worked at one point, just unsure why its not anymore..

Same idea as OP, downloaded the most recent .bar file(1.9.6)>placed on downloads folder>double checked app permissions for other sources> and I get a constant "unable to open Snapxxxx.bar"

Tried rebooting, and nothing so far-

Same. Was able to side load snap without problems, but after I download an app and try to install it, it stays stuck at a black processing screen.

    You need to sideload snap.
You can't directly inatall a bar file on the device. Only an apk. And you need 10.2.1

Launch any android app first. Then try again. It's like a kick start to the runtime so to speak

Cant believe I missed that one!

Ok, got it installed ok, but its not right still. I download an app, seems to download ok but will not open the installer afterwards. I loaded a couple .apk's I had, and get the never ending processing message.

I am wondering if my runtime isnt working correctly?

Load an android port from blackberry world. It should state the runtime propriety. Then you should be able to do what you want.

If you're looking for another trustworthy alternative, check out BB10Store: http://forums.crackberry.com/android...ptoide-892140/
Only contains working apps and games, and their obb data is automatically downloaded and placed in the correct folder if they require any, if we don't have an app you need, just request and we'll add it

Ok, I went ahead and downloaded a couple android apps from BBW. These install on the home screen just fine, but will not open. If I attempt to open the application, it acts as a "dead button." I rebooted, and again, the app window opened, but immediately crashed. Defaulted back to the home screen.

I have no idea what happened here?

Same with me. And if I have a BlackBerry app open at the time when I try to open android app (from BlackBerry world) the app crashes and opens whatever I have in the active frames.. it's almost like they forgot to package the android runtime

    I got it,

I downloaded the "APPS" file from Mega, and just took the sys.android.shell, and the sys.android 10.2.x.xx files from here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...e-bars-896769/

Torrent of JUST the runtime files if mega is too slow: thepiratebay.se/torrent/9537480

Follow this guys instructions but using the new run time, reboot- good to go!
