Gimme a sec, I'll post the links for you.

    Edit:

    http://apps.goodereader.com/android-...ions/?did=3527

    http://apps.goodereader.com/android-...res/?did=14415

The first is the Google Play services .apk file from the Good eReader site and what I'm assuming you need. You mentioned you're on 10.2.1 so just point you BB10 browser (I wouldn't bother doing it in the CB10 app), hold the green "download" button, and select "save linked file" from the overflow menu. Once it's done, tap and hold over the file and select install. If you get a "installer has stalled" error prompt just hit cancel and it should continue.

The second link is for the Google Play Store itself, which won't actually work on your device, but some apps (like Starbucks) apparently need. So if you want you can install that too. Personally I just stuck both app icons in a folder to remind myself not to try to run them.

Also, I'd recommend deleting your game app using the device monitor and reinstalling it after you have the Google Play services file installed just to be safe. Good luck!

That sucks, I had a similar problem testing out Groupon but got it working after following the steps I outlined above. I do know that some apps just don't work though.

This would be excellent. I would like to sign into Google maps. One of the main features I always missed on sideloading and also missed on whatever APK loading is called (still sideloading?)

its still sideloading. Anytime you install an app not from the official store its sideloading. BB has 1 official store, even if you install the amazon android app store and get apps from there that would be outside the official BB marketplace and sideliding essentially. None of the apks are vetted hence the warning before you install any of them

i downloaded both apk's on my bb z10, and i have Snap (android app store) that tried to install them, they both gave me an error, but Play store is there (as a shortcut) although not working.

What is next to do to fix this problem? any updates expected for this issue?

thanks and all the best for the New Year to all!

just get everything including the settings from this thread:
    http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-an...t-apps-866259/
Download the ingress package, it includes most of what you'll need, then get the google maps from that thread and I'll work with login, you can also get google music with login from that page.
You can also use the script found on this page: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-an...orking-862184/ to remove dependencies from apks and allow them to function without google services/google maps api.

Tried it with the latest versions of Google Play Services (Google-Play-services_5.0.89-1307510-034.apk), and Google Play Store (Google-Play-Store_4.8.20.apk), downloaded from the links provided on this thread, but, nothing works. Apps continue to complain about Google Services not responding.

You must first PATCH the apps to remove the verification checks. Read this:

    Hi
Fairly new to BlackBerry but there seems to be a lot made of Google Play Services. I thought the point of BlackBerry was it's security, Google is all about mining data so it seems like a contradictory thing to want or install. There also seems to be some confusion with some posts I read over the net about running Android apps. When I got my phone, I downloaded the Amazon app store and that was that. The game that the OP refers to is a game I downloaded myself, no Google Play stuff needed. Am I missing something that makes Google's services SO desirable? Apart from Google having more apps.

I will give you an example, I have well maintained village on Clash of Clans (Town Hall Level 10), I can only retrieve my village through the google play services so I can load it through the server.

honestly, If that is the case, I would never hold my 2nd android device which I mainly use for gaming and my google services (gmaps, gdrive, etc.)

Google Play Services doesn't work on BB10. It never will. It is not permitted.

True enough. Some small percentage of GPS apps can be tricked/made to work by patching them.
