I tried Call Control last night, and it installed properly, but didn't work...active frame or not.

Has anyone found an apk that works, even if it runs in an active frame?

According to a few of the posters here, BlackBerry 10 will run all Android apps. So you should be able to load up any Android call blocker app you want and run with it.

I did that last night as I mentioned, and it didn't work properly...that's why I'm asking if anyone has had success with a different one.

I'm using "ultimate blacklist" apk and so far so good. I have had it open I. Active frame. I'm going to see if it will still work if I close it.

Don't get why apps can't run in the background and have to be open.

Android call blocker apps won't work on BB10. While they can detect an incoming call, they cannot do anything about it.

Correct . Like it or not the apps are sandboxed and do not have direct control of the calls. None of them will work as intended. Even made for bb apps won't work because the APIs released to devs do not have the necessary access allowed. At least so I was informed.

Call Manager is free in BB World as a Christmas gift, which seems to do the job. I believe the offer runs out on or after Christmas Day so grab it whilst you can... oh and Merry Christmas everyone ;-)

I've tried quite a few blocking apps from Snap apparently they won't work until the 10.3.1 update in March.

Try Power Tools. It's native BB and it works great! You can also block texts and has many other functions. It's not free but well worth the money. It's also headless in case you were wondering.
