Default Will my Clash of Clans account reset if I wipe my device and install the new OS leak 10.2.1.1259?

I want to load this new OS as I heard it fixes the accounts not loading issue. But I'm afraid that if i delete the clash of clans apk and download it again, I'll have to start over completely.

Will I still be able to get my account even after wiping my device?

    Thanks!

    Yaaaarr! You're a pirate because of 10.2.1.1055!

Back up then download app then restore should be OK but be prepared for a let down too. 60/40. 60 good 40 bad.

Just move the info to your memory card. It's in you file manager in miscellaneous under android. After you make the transition move it back pretty simple

You have to go to it and move it back into the folder it came from. Start the game to create the folder then move the data back into the folder

I think it's a little more involved than that.

Edit: These guys are currently trying to work on a solution. Let's get access to Clash of Clans app data and save files.

    No that won't work.

It stores it inside the app data folder inside it's own archive unavailable to the user.

    Lol! You did too.

The only confirmed way to backup clash of clans can only be done for new installs.

No, not what we are doing. That procedure won't work in all liklihood.

What we have found is that the game data does not save to your backup file as it is a sideloaded APK. Backups only seem to store apps that came through appworld.

Which means when you go to reload the backup - no Clash of Clans game data will be restored. Google play services are unavailable to you. And Facebook appears not to contain the game saves either.

Now, I need to preface this by saying I'm not a CoC player. But one of my friends, in the thread above, wanted assistance. We've been working on some solutions. Right now we have only one last possible way I can think of to save the data from existing games (without an extreme procedure). I just haven't really had time to try the last (semi-easy) method to see if it is plausible, but it is 50/50 at best.

I'm not sure about CoC but I retrieve my game progress via fb on Hayday which is also Supercell game.
I'm also playing CoC, but I don't dare to try.
