Remember to download the new version of instagram here 4.0:

1. Log out of your instagram
2. Uninstall/delete any instagram app on your phone
3. Install Instagram version 4.0 and wait til it says incompatabile etc.
4. Dont uninstall/delete version 4.0 BUT load in ver 3.43 (it will ask you to sign in but thats the old version dont sign in)
5. Uninstall/delete version 4.0
6. Install/reload version 4.0 and tah dahh!!

You can now view videos on this version, but the sound quality is very low. Cant complain!
Also, as stated by others, there will be two instagram files/icons. If you delete one, it won't work.
Just hide it in a folder that you don't use.

Yes its the same thing. I re-edited my post as uninstall/delete. It should work in no time!

Just down load the 4.0.1 version that is for Android 2.2 and higher. It works with a simple side load using the new way posted all over the main page and forums. I posted a link to download it somewhere, do a search for it.

When i deleted the older instagram. I got the incompatible device again. I guess we need both of the instagram installed to work

Yeah i put it in a folder titled Extra with the bloatware and kept the 4.0 out in the open.

This method worked for me! I now have two Instagram icons, so I would be sure to keep up which icon is the latest version because that version will allow one to watch videos. I hid the other version that I wasn't using in a folder so me or anyone using my phone most likely won't click on it. This method also solved the problem where you everybody had do that facebook login from earlier version. Thanks a lot man! Don't feel like an outcast no more.
