Deleting Sideload Apps?
Hay

I just got a question for you sideloaders. I used to be able to completely delete sideloaded apps on playbook via pressing the icon, wait till it shake and then it disappears from the trash.
However, on the Z10, the icon reappears on boot, anyone knows where the android app actually being stored on the Z10 so I can go in and do some cleanup? :O
Thanks!!Dropped my playbook on the street, then got it back! I'm one lucky person!

Or, you can PM me with your email and the picture and I'll crop and email em back to your PlayBook.

really? I have turned my phone off many times and the deleted apps are always gone.
you can try to uninstall them the same way that you installed them.
ddpb is good at that. just 'check' the apps you want to uninstall in ddpb and then click on uninstall.------------------------> LIST OF WORKING Android Apps for Z10/BB10 ---190 SO FAR!!! <------------------------

Try reinstalling it, then delete again see if that works.

Pretty much... I just hold onto the icon till I see the trash can, click the trash can and it disappears. I never had issue with playbook.. but this one.. yea Icon repopulate :3 I mean my solution is just put it in a folder and leave it on the side, still bothers me a little.. if u know what I mean

Okay, I found out how. You have to reboot it fresh, delete right away then reboot immediately.
What might happen is if you turn it on for long enough, the "service" or "daemon" started, hooking some files prevent it from deletion. It gives you the message saying its deleted but will reappear on reboot. I delete one at a time and reboot each time and it appears to work
Thought I'd leave it on CB in case somebody runs into the same error

it happens with Apps downloaded from Blackberry world to i have just tried it. it seems if you delete it restart your phone and hit the icon the phone downloads the app again
if you want to uninstall a Blackberry world app you have to do it from BB World and not is hold-shake-deleteLast edited by elmit22; 02-10-2013 at 04:44 PM. Reason: more info
