Till now its been a reliable site.
I had the same question as you(i even have a thread with a similar topic), and all the feedback i got was good.
Some of the "last converted" apps won't work(heck, most of them), so u should get ur own apk and convert them by urself(even then, its 100% sure they'll work).
If the app doesnt work, rate it on the site with a "thumb down" plz
I use the Good-e-reader site to search the apps, or u can, at ur own risk, google it, like "appiwant.apk".
Hope it helps,
Pedro

Site works fine for me. I have converted like 30+ apps using it. Although about 50% of what I have tried does not work. That is because the apk is written to be native to the device. the coding is different in other wards. The site does work though. Wish I knew if this site is keeping a database of working and not working apk2bar files. If so, why doesn't it share so we can browse ourselves. Someone is building a massive bar database with this site. Wonder if it is RIM? or an employee? Build a working Bar database and make your own market/aftermarket. Someone is smart. I could break one down and see who the dev is...
Na, better not to know
