Side loading worse case scenario

So ,here is the deal ,I'm going to this large convention and they have a app available but for android (app is for the floorplan etc etc ,big convention and no its not a porn convention)
In any case , i have never side loaded anything but i really want to use this on my playbook ,of course i am a bit scared to screw up my playbook (i love it and wouldn't change it for an ipad3 or ipad 6 or anything )
So what i want to know is say i completely screw it up ,whats the worse that could happen ,and how risky is it really ,say on a scale of 1 to 10 ??

Worst case is that app won't work on your PB.

Ooohhh... so many things can go wrong:
1) App won't convert to .bar format
2) App won't sideload
3) App won't load on Playbook
4) You run out of battery while stuck in the middle of the convention
5) ..........

Honestly, there's no risk at all. It either works, or it won't. No damage to your playbook at all.

which program should i use thats the easiest and most effective ,anyone point me in the right direction ???

DDPB for installing .Bar to your PB

P.S. watch out for the sites you get you bar files from, many of them contain viruses that could harm your computer, I speak from experience

Install Google Chrome on your PC and then go here- PlayBook App Manager To convert android APK files, go here- PlayBook .apk to .bar converter

Hi There,

I have just bought a Black Playbook for my girlfriend, but wants to have Amazon Kindle on the playbook so she can read all of her books. The problem is Ive downloaded DDPB Installer on her laptop but it got infected with a Police Internet Virus. (FAKE) Ive got the Bar file for the kindle app but i need a installer to upload it on to her playbook. any idea's???

google PLAYBOOK TOOLS.ZIP.

This is a great program that allows you to sideload bar files wirelessly to the playbook. Just drag and drop the bar file onto the bat file included. You need to edit the .bat file to the ip of your playbook and enter the appropriate password you set in development mode.

Work great.

Where did you get the Kindle .bar file? I have tried to download it from google and cannot do so. It just tells me I don't have an android device.

the only thing I don't like about ports is that some store those little thumbnail images and when you delete the app they stay there. and its hard to find those pics and when using some apps that ask you to chose an img bring like one hundred somt imgs and your are hard to find.
