I have z10 on T-Mobile in the USA. The phone works fine. I also have a Playbook. I've read all the forums and google'd as much as possible on this error:

" failure 500 unpack requires a string argument of length 22 "

There seems to be others with it, but no one has a fix or a response.

I've done all the troubleshooting I can try:
1. Uninstalled ALL traces of Java. Reboot. Re-install both 32bit and 64bit JRE.
2. Tested on multiple computers; WinXP (32bit), Win7(32+64bit), MacOS. Same error every computer.
3. Used ddpb and Playbook App Manager via Chrome.
4. Tested numerous "approved" .bar files.

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

I, too, am in the same boat. I downloaded my DDPB installer from Good E Reader and the majority of my sideloaded apps come from there. A thread there seems to indicate that it might be related to just the bar files from that site? Still troubleshooting.

Can anyone else comment on a solution?

Im having the same problem for apps from Good E Reader, try any other .bar file from another site and it will work.

can people post sites please where I can get BAR files apart from goodereader one as that site is useless now for me (tried updating .NET, JAVA, DDPB, Chrome playbook app)

still getting 500 errors so effectively my PB has become a bit of a brick

Try this:

Uninstall Java
Reinstall latest Java
Delete .bar file that doesn't work from DDPB AND PC
Redownload the .bar file
Install the app again

Had the same issue, now it worked.
