By some miracle, I was able to follow the great instruction on crackberry on how to do apk to bar conversion:
Tutorial: Converting .APK to .Bar using BBHTool

The BBHTool conversion ran fine. Running the program on the playbook, I get a world map, then the error message:

Help!

I can upload the APK if someone can suggest a place to park the file. The apk to bar gurus already know how to download apk files, so I don't think it is necessary for me to upload the file.
