Default wtf??? $15 for a number change?

Ok, this use to be free for a one number switch per year, now they are charging 15 dollars no matter if its your first time changing or not, I just called them and wanted to change my number and they told me this, god this verizon change is REALLY pissin me off cause I'm sure it has to do with it. Ya its only 15 dollars but still.... Wtf?!?

Try going into a store? The problem is, when we assign you a new number that's another number we can't give somone else, a new customer let's say. It puts the number you had on a "cooldown" period for like 6-10 months, that's another number we can't give out. If I'm correct, and I could be wrong, each phone company is allowed certain phone numbers. So for you to take another one the increasingly limited numbers, it might cost a little. From a customers standpoint, yeah it sucks, I agree, from a business stand point, I believe most companies charge, but I could be wrong.

I've changed numbers for people and I never charge, unless you do it many times, just try going into a local store

I changed my number last summer and they told me that the first number change on an account was free, and any subsequent number change costs you

If you go into a corp store they will do it for free the first time after that you could get charged for it.

That's what I was saying, I always thought it was free the first time, that's what I was always told, but ya I'm going to just have to go into the local store and give that a try
