Will new Alltel data card be under VZW cap?

I currently have an Alltel data card which is NOT under contract. If I get a new one from Alltel before my area is converted in October will I be under the Verizion 5gb per month cap? during my contract period that I sign under Alltel?

In theory, no... however - Alltel has a 5 GB cap too, although it's a "soft cap" - and if you were exceeding it on a frequent basis, I believe you would have heard about it by now... so I've been told...

I didn't think I would have the Verizion cap if I signed up under Alltel. I have had an Alltel aircard for about 2 years and go over the 5 gb mark once in awhile but not on a regular basis.

The soft cap that Alltel has generally only applies to heavy users that are constantly roaming. There are plenty of people that I have seen use between 5-10GB's and not get overages or had their data card shut off.
