Default What I've learned from the merger

Verizon customers sure are "proud" of that network.

Sheesh.

Maybe they're just defensive because they know they're getting ripped off.

Actually it's Verizon that's so proud of the network. As far as I'm concerned Verizon's network is the minimum acceptable. I just wish it didn't come with such an expensive price tag.

However, if you gotta have connection, it's the way to go. If you can limit your geographic area to a less expensieve carrier, go for it. What matters is bang for the buck, not absolute bang. If I could spend 30% less and get what I need, I'd switch in a minute.

However, after Congress holds more hearings about how cell phone companies are ripping people off (people who voluntarilary enter into binding contracts then complain), they'll seize the cell phone companies and nationalize all the services, so we'll have universally suck-o service, but everyone will get the same.

for now, i have seen nothing to be proud of. i drop more calls more frequently now since the merger. the only plus i've seen is the roaming indicator on the phone is now gone.

I haven't any dropped calls, but my signal is consistently lower than it was last week. But data has been really erratic the last 2 days, hopefully that's just a transition.
