Default Are we getting the 9930?

I just want to know if Alltel has any plans to carry the 9930 or any of the other new Blackberry models released this quarter.

Thanks

I have called to our business contacts and they don't know anything about it. Matter of fact, they didn't even know there was any new Blackberry phones. I guess they are so small of a company now they just don't worry about keeping up with anything. They sure don't care about customer service anymore.

With all the new phones being released by all the other carriers, Alltel releases the Blackberry Style today. How funny.

Cool alltel bb

alltel seems to not care at all about the latest versions, if you ask any of them, they just dont kno, they barely kno how to help with the older styles they carry. would be nice if they would get the bb torch. 9650 is the best they got right now, but they have the best prices for sure, guess we cant have it all

Can I buy a verizon 9930 and activate it on Alltel still? Just give them the ESN right?

I played with a 9930 this weekend at a Verzion store on vacation. I want one bad, do not want Verizon bad.

Yep! This seems to be the best they can do.

I find it hard to believe that with Alltel still serving 5 or 6 states that someone doesn't know if they are even testing it. All the other carriers post a phone that is coming soon, why can't they post anything? Does it have to be such a secret when everyone else has already announced it? I wish someone on the Crackberry team had a contact with Alltel, because none of the employees sure don't know a thing.

Default Alltel 9930

I finally got fed up after several phone calls to 611 that went nowhere, I managed to get high enough up the food chain, to get someone who actually knew something and cared enough to ask some questions and call me back with some answers.

The new company called AWCC finally took over in June, all the call center help is brand new, so is billing. (I didn't get a bill for 3 months, then I got a disconnect notice by text.)

I was told they are trying very hard to train and catch up, and get the new phone offerings back on schedule.

They hope to have the Torch2 in November, and hopefully the Bold 9930 around Christmas.

we will see.

Too late. I switch to Verizon last month just for the 9930. I was with Alltel for 10+ years. Seeing that the Alltel customers in the last year dropped to half what it was, I jumped.

I ordered a couple 9930's this morning from Alltel.

The sales girl was less than reassuring, she couldn't find a price until after I started an order.

$249 with a 1 (yes 1) year contract, and they supposedly left me on my old contract with no data limit and the slightly cheaper price.

I thought 1 year contracts were over, and I had also been told we had to switch to the new contracts. I don't see the 9930 on the website, so if any of the above comes true I will be surprised. I guess I will see what ups brings in the morning...probably nothing.

Nothing that you here in an Alltel store is to be believed evidently.

Hmm, keep us updated on your order. It will be interesting if you actually get the 9930. I hope you do! Good luck!
