Upgrade's and changing plans?

Ok, I'm in a family plan with shared minutes with Alltel and my part of the contract is up on the 15th of June (I'm not the primary line). I know that I'll have to switch over to a Smart Choice pack. Does anyone know how this might affect the shared family plan and if I can upgrade early with either no extra fee or a small fee?

You cannot early upgrade (12-5 months before the contract is up) because you are wanting to do this on a secondary line. It must be primary and you must have had a rate plan $39.99 or higher in the last 3 months. There is an early upgrade fee of $20.

So If I'm understanding that right, the family plan would be the same other than the addition of the one data line? So that would just change the secondary line over to the data line?

And even though I am a secondary line I can upgrade since I have less than a month left?

Also keep in mind that if you have your other lines on the account are free or $10 per month/line, they will go up to $20/month per line and add unlimited text/pic messaging.

I noticed that but with 4 lines total on the account, I think it would be cheaper to add the Smart Choice pack on for just the one line. But I heard that it would cost around 40 for that but I'm not sure what it includes...

I'm not sure if your following me on this, you have 4 lines, the main line will be 89.99, each additional line will be 20$ each for a total of 60$. so your lookin at about 150$ before taxes and insurance.
