Default Unusual power drain on Curve 8330

In the past couple of days I've noticed an unusual amount of power drain on my curve 8330. Is there anything I should look at that may be causing this?
Thanks

Are you leaving applications open? Alt+Escape to check, should have only 5 open normally.

Do you have Google Latitude active, that app is a known battery-killer.

Facebook, pandora, slacker, any of those open will kill a battery.

From the home screen hit the menu key> Switch Application> that should show you whats open and running. The only apps that you cannot close are Phone, Browser, Home screen, Messages, BB Messenger.

I'm having the same problem but from day one. My daughter and I bought our 8330's on the same day. Her battery will last almost a week on one charge, mine is shot in a couple days, if that. I bought the extended batter and it seemed to make a difference but it's so bulky I just use the regular battery. I'm wondering if I should buy another battery. Any help is appreciated.

I noticed if you're in an area where you're not getting a really good signal, and the phone is constanly searching for a signal then it will drain the battery quick

My battery barely lasts a day. I hate that I always have to plug it in...

I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I didn't realize that by hitting the alt+escape I could see what apps were open. So thankyou. Unfortunately it is still eating up the battery at an unusual rate. I end up having to charge it several times a day at my desk and while in my truck. My curve is only 5 months old so I don't think the battery should be concidered wearing down. I do have the habit of placing the curve in the charging cradle every night, whether it needs a charge or not. Could that hurt it? I don't mind buying another battery off ebay but that may not resolve the problem if the curve is the problem. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Again, I appreciate everyones imput. I ended up going to my local Alltel store and they just gave me a new battery. The battery still seems to drain more quickly than before but I ordered a battery and mini charger off ebay so I can always have one ready instead of worrying about having it plugged in. I will also check with tech support about any ota fix. Thanks, everyone!

Finally figured out the battery drain problem. It was an app called Berryweather. Great weather app but sucked the life out of my battery and apparently most everyone else who had this installed on their bb's. But...there is a fix. If you are using berryweather and have a battery drain problem, use this link and it should fix it.
