signs have changed in NC

I am in southeastern NC and yesterday I noticed my local altell store now had a verizon sign out front

Its annoying to say the least. But most of the trouble lies with AT&T. Since they are picking up most of the Divested Allel market from Verizon, it slows down the expansion that Verizon can make, especially with allowing stores to do both Verizon and Alltel products

Yea, they have changed the signs here at our Fayetteville, NC store. i also logged into my alltel account and saw that they have a message saying after july 17th i will need to login to my account via verizons website.

I can not enter my zip code at alltel.com to view phones and plans and such.

I was told that the alltel store in my city in Eastern NC will be closing on July 11 and checked my account on-line --saw a message that read my account would be moving to MyVerizon on July 11

i'll be so glad. I mean I have really liked Alltel... But having a Storm on Alltel is kind of a hassle for me. at times.. I have to udate PRL and it calls verizon when I do *611.. so on.

I will not be sad

Got the same message on My acct at Alltel.com here in the western Piedmont NC. bummer...maybe I'll get service at home back.

The only difference after the upgrade yesterday was that the myalltel site gives me the option to choose Alltels site or Verizions. When my contract is up I am most likely headed over to AT&T for the iphone.
