Default pearl tethering

i went today and had tethering added to my account. downloaded and installed all of the software that i was told to.

with the quicklink program running it searches for and finds my phone but will not go past the screen where it tells me the instructions for setting up a modem. HELP please

You actually don't need to use Quick Link Mobile when tethering a BlackBerry, in fact, in my mind, ite easier to just set it up using the add a connection from your computer...
Which operating system is your computer running?

You need to have Desktop Manager installed and open.
Make sure your blackberry is plugged in
then go to...
Start>
Connect To>
Set Up A Connection Or Network>
Set Up A Dial Up Connection>
Dial Up Phone Number : #777
User Name: (Your 10 digit wireless #)@alltel.net
Password: alltel (important that its all lower case)

I set mine up like ROC listed. I do the same for my Tour too.
