Default OS .160 issues - draining battery and recieved text not showing media

Ok i've been running the update from blackberry for .160. At first nothing really noticable. But here lately, it really seems to drain battery, and every now and then i recieve split text messages that really shouldn't have bn split. Plus it says media was removed. They didnt attatch any media. What is going on. I've also noticed that memory is gettin eatin up. I have to pull battery at least twice a day, just to regain lost memory...

Is this with the telus or the alltel .160? I've been running the telus and not had any problems but was on the phone with cs yesterday about a problem with my bb dropping to 1X constantly and he recomended me to go back to .127 because they were having issues with .160. I've especially had no lost memory problems witjh the telus version, I've gained memory if anything.

I've been running the .160 on Alltel for about 2 weeks and haven't had any issues. Actually freed up some memory. I was around 14 to 16 now I'm between 18 and 20 after a pull and haven't seen it go below 15. Battery life seems about the same if not a bit better. I wonder what the difference could be. Maybe a downgrade and re upgrade? Hope you get it figured out

I am with alltel. I contacted cs they said they don't know about this update. Maybe I'll try reloading.

If you get far enough up the cs foodchain they do know about this update(.160). They told me they have had problems with it and advised me to go back to .127. Thing is I've been using the telus release of .160 and haven't had any problems.
