Default Not getting updates

I have a curve (8330) and when im in a certain area (my house) i can not get my bb messenger messages, email updates, FB updates. If I am around my house it doesn't work either. The only way I get it is if I go online to my ESPN app or refresh my FB. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!!!!

Try: options > advanced > Host Routing Table > menu > register now. you should then get an email saying your phone is registered on the network or words to that effect.

If no email arrives, then do a battery pull and try again.

also try updating the preferred roaming list (prl): phone > *228 > send. Select option 2.

Your prl should be 400xx if you are in a market going to verizon; if you're in a divested market, it should be 41000. To check the prl: phone > #4357* > send. (4357 = HELP).

I'm in an area that is converting to Verizon on Oct. 17th, but my PRL is 30045.

I had similar issues and using a utility called SignalLoc I was able to narrow down what tower was causing me problems. I could use the phone, but data was not existent. After calling in to techsupport a few times, I was able to convince them that I had drove around and made sure I was on a different tower and it worked fine. A week after the troubleticket, the problems mysteriously went away. Upon calling in, they said that the problem was fixed and was actually at the cell site. Alltel being a very customer service company credited me for every day that it was out at my house even tho I didn't spend most of the day there. May want to do some investigation on your own.
