Your not using your phone to download the os via the internet from your desktop are you? If so, I believe that won't work since your phone powers down

You can not be using the phone as your modem while you are updating the phone. You will need another source as a modem while the process is happening

RIM is telling me there is no available update for my Alltel 8130. I'm running .313

** Oops, I meant .131
The auto update only gives me the option of downloading .127
Any ideas?

I'm having a serious problem after this upgrade. I upgraded, it rebooted, and my browser is now gone.

Also gone is my ability to send email. That happened last time, too. I called RIM who finally got it working with me, something about the web interface and losing assiciation and blah blah blah. All I know is that I don't have 2 hours to spend on the phone with them and don't remember the number anymore anyway.

If anyone can tell me how to get the browser back and the email working again I'd be very grateful.

Re-register your Host Routing Table.
Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > menu button > Register Now

Re-send your Service Books.
Log in to your BIS page from a computer and send them from there. Or go to the Email Setup icon on the device and send them from there.

I installed this through the blackberry.com page where you can auto update your phone. I never knew this existed but I used it to .160 which has been running ok for me. It seems kind of laggy when you click in back into action but other than that it is fine.

At the same time I also had to downgrade facebook to 1.5 to get any notifications. I did have to register and resend the books to get internet working again. At the same time I also had to create a username when setting up my email (which I had never had to do before).
