If you want you can call customer service and have them push the 40048 PRL to your phone. They might not know what you are talking about, I usually have had good luck with tech support people not the general customer service.

i remember when i used to call *228 It would say something like "welcome to alltel" now when i call its a generic message "welcome to over the air programming". is this due to the verizon merger?

something is going on with *228 that is for sure.. Used to be since i live in Hawaii that I would have to call *22899 to get OTA.

Now I can get to it just calling *228 though now if I call *611 that puts me through to Verizon!?!?!?

I will be so glad when this is all finished!

Unfortunately i still have to manually write my PRL cause doing OTA only gets me 30035 for some reason So i'm stuck with 40042 for now

hey, I just used QPST works like a charm! I have had to do it a couple times cause it tends to revert to PRL 1 sometimes with a battery pull or if I change my OS. But only takes a min.

If you need step by steps I can help ya with that.

mine won't go above 40044. might have something to do with when and if your area goes to Verizon.

It's also divested vs. non-divested areas.
