I was chatting with a vzw tech and was told they can now push a new PRL which has Alltel and VZW tower info. But that PRL is lost upon new *228opt2. Could not verify truth to that though..

So I checked my Tour and it was at 31003 so I did the *220 option 2 and it "update," but it remained at 31003. Did it a few more times to no avail. I called tech support and he said "Yeah, that PRL is older than ****" and pushed me the "new" one. Said it could take up to 24 hours for it to show on my phone, so we'll see.

Not sure why my Tour wouldn't update correctly because my Curve would update promptly and without any issues. Odd. I'm located in NE OH (divested market).

Well I guess the Alltel network is having issues with their smartphones (e.g. BlackBerries in particular). My service keeps going from 1XEV to 1xev to just 1x and back and forth. I am unable to get on the net except maybe once out of ten or so tries and it's ungodly slow. I called support and they told me it's national problem that should be fixed by tomorrow. Because of that, I decided to put the 41000 PRL on my phone myself because chances are, the push via tech support isn't going to work now with the BlackBerry servers acting up.

FYI, I still have continuous problems getting a 30xxx series PRL and they don't know why. 7 Months until contract is up.
