Default Media Player Not Advancing Songs

Hello to everyone out there. My Dad downloaded the new OS for the 8330 "4.5.xxxx", and since doing so the media player will not advance to the next song. It will just stop after playing the particular song, and even sometimes it will just reboot itself on it's own. Anybody out there having the same problem? Or if you can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Default Convert WMA's to MPG's

Not sure why but this does not occur with MPG's. I have verified.

I had the same problem when I upgraded to the 4.5.0.127. I tried re-formatting, or even changing to MP3 files, the only thing that worked for me was to upgrade my phone to the 4.5.0.138 version that Telus offers. After I upgraded to that OS it solved the problem with the media player.. this post from "Blackngray" helped me out a lot..

Instructions to install on ANY 8330 from ANY CARRIER.

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization." When the device boots up it will then restore your information. When the Apploader Wizard says Loading Operation Successful you may then unplug the device.

4.5.0.127 was an awful OS version IMHO. 4.5.0.131 and 4.5.0.138 are much, much better.

yupp, I haven't had one problem since I upgraded to the new OS.. I'm much happier with the 4.5.0.138. I was a little leary about upgrading to another carrier's os, but it was easy.
