Just switched unable to access vzn bells and whistles

I just got switched over to verizon officially. I was really looking forward to switching. Well not really. But I had convinced myself it would be better. Verizon has vcast, so I could finally get rhapsody on my bb. Plus they have so many other bells and whistles.
Up to now, I had bn told by cs that once my contract converted, I would have access to everything vzn.

Now that is done. I just found out that since I still have alltel phone, vzn software won't recognize me until sometime around sept oct. And until alltel devices are recognized, I won't get those very bells and whistles I so truly wanted.


Sorry I guess u might say I'm just whining. Or venting. Either way don't tell me something you can't produce. U kno.

That is pretty sorry. I guess if you whine to the right person they might be able to help. You could always buy a verizon berry and sell yours or keep it as a backup.

Why change plans without getting hardware more compatible with the plan?

Bottom line: If you want the VZW bells and whistles, you need VZW hardware and VZW plans. It ain't gonna happen with Alltel hardware & a VZW plan, or vice-versa.

I never said I want or got vzw plan. I still have alltel contract. Seems better deal.
My problem was that vzw cs rep said once they moved my contract over I would have access. They moved it this weekend. This morning their saying it will actually take awhile before alltel phones get recognized by system.

So basically just like being at alltel, I just happen to pay someone else.

Even the my verizon web site (now that I'm logged in) says they are in process of giving alltel phones access.

So I should be able to keep phone and plan. Just have to wait a little longer. Patience. Right.

You'd have access to VZW bells and whistles with VZW hardware, and VZW plans.
