what's even more baffling to me is that i DID it sucessfully earlier today. but when i tried to install some updates that BB Desktop Manager detected, something went wrong and my Curve 8900 was completely wiped. i just finished re-syncing all of my data... and now this is the only thing i cannot figure out!! | Though not intentional, my fix is probably specific for the 8330 devices. I notice you have the 8900 and most likely a 4.6 OS. The 8330 uses the 4.5 OS. I have successfully changed the Browser for the .89, .127, .138, and .160 versions. Every time I updated my OS I had to find another solution for the Browser fix. Your recent updates may have created the same situation I ran into during my several updates. I simply tried various attempts until I found one that worked. I saw where another poster said to delete the Help guide. I also read somewhere that when you do this, the Help guide returns if you re-send service books and if you do a battery pull, you lose the direct link to the Browser and have to go through the process again. Keep trying and hopefully you'll get your solution.
