Default Hardware problems...What should i do next??

ok...so i woke up this morning to find my phone off. I have auto on/off set to cycle my phone every night so it clears the memory and what not on my pearl. But this is only your standard shut down...not a battery pull. So i go to turn on my pearl and no dice...nothing happens. I then pop out the battery and put it back in and i get the normal white boot screen. Because it takes a while to boot, i laid it on my shelf. As soon as it hits the surface of my shelf, the screen goes instantly to black. I pick it back up and try to turn it on again. Nothing. I CAN'T SET DOWN MY BERRY WITHOUT IT TURNING OFF. so i went to go talk to one of my good friends at alltel. I walk in and notice that the vzw transfer is starting but thats for another post. Anyways, she said i can pay the $95 deductible to get a new pearl (personally i hate the pearl...way not enough memory) or pay $120 to upgrade my line and get a curve. I tried to get her to just give me a curve as i have been there for many many years but no go. I also asked what it would cost if i would wait until the 29th (the date when they begin selling vzw) and get a curve. She didnt know as they dont get the pricing until the 27th. so, that said, those are my three choices...what should i do?

Wait until the 27th. I hate my Pearl and I have only had it 2 months!
