What fix? It works fine for the Pearl.

If you don't have the options try resending your service books.

Also you "must" have BB service for it to work. If you have a BB and don't pay for the actual "blackberry" service (be it stand alone, or a Smart Choice pack) then it will not work since RIM won't send you the service books needed to enable the feature.

Most likely if you have software version .89 (or higher if its released) then your software supports MMS, and so does Alltel.

I've had this problem with my 8330 since I got it in December. I can send MMSes but can't receive them. My fiance, who has the same phone with me on the family plan, can send and receive without any problem. So, I took my phone to my Alltel store, my rep couldn't figure out what was wrong. He tried calling the 800 # but for some reason he could not get through. So, I called yesterday. Spent almost an hour on the phone with tech support. The tech support guy mentioned something about how the problem for some people is that, somehow, they are not showing up in the Alltel system for MMS messaging. And I wasn't. He put me in the system but it still didn't work. So, he put in an order for advanced tech support to call me. Well, naturally, they called me today while I was at work, so I still have no answer. BUT...I thought this might help others. I'll post when I talk to the Advanced Tech Support.
