Are you hitting "send" after entering it? Try saving the #4357* in your phone book. You'll need to scroll down a few lines to get the PRL and it should be 40051. My roaming has improved with this PRL but my service at home still sucks.

My prl is indeed 40051.
Craptel says nothing is wrong and that they system does not indicate I'm dropping any calls.

Any ideas

Call 1-501-905-8000 (direct line to the HQ in Little Rock, AR) and ask for Executive Relations, tell them your issues and they should get a DTS rep on there and those are the smart people.

I had the same problem with my curve but in my area they have already merged with VZW. I called tech support and they told me to turn the phone off while they sent an update and then do *228 option 1 to receive the update. Since doing this it hasn't droped any calls and the signal is a bit stronger.

Look for the topic "new alltel prl", which is a little further down the page. It's got the instructions there.

Actually, if it's -calls- that are dropping it wouldn't be DTS that would be a whole lot of help. Data Tech Support....not so much helpful with network/signal/call quality.

Also, if the systems aren't showing dropped calls, it's more than likely a handset issue....
