Cancelling a Smartchoice plan
Hello,
My wife and I are a year into a two year contract with two Blackberries. We love the phones and plan but, due to mounting bills from some serious health problems that I've acquired, we can't afford them anymore.
I have to cancel my plan and pay the ETF. I don't have a problem having to pay the ETF - I made the bill, I'll pay it. But I can't pay the ETF all at once, and will be paying on it for several months.
I want to be able to sell our Blackberries to help pay the ETF, but I know the ESN's may not be clear if the ETF's aren't paid yet.
I happen to have two older Motorola Q's laying around. If I swap the Q's onto our account, then cancel, will this free up our Blackberries so that I can sell them to help us pay the ETF's off?
I suppose I could just sell the Q's, but the extra hundred bucks the BB's will bring would really help.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
