browser homepage

Ok...I would consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable of my device and since I updated my os to the latest 4.5.0.127 from AllTel...my browser has gone nutty.

After my os was installed and the device rebooted and all my information restored...my browser wasn't there. This has happened before. So I pushed service books to my device and my browser showed up.

Now comes the weird part. I opened up my browser and instead of opening up to my bookmarks like normal it opens up the mobile blackberry homepage. I went into my browser settings and tried to change it but it would not let me edit the homepage field at all. Also I noticed that I lost all of my emulation modes as well except for blackberry. I really miss having google as my homepage.

Anyone else having this problem?

I am still running OS .89. I continue to think the fix in the other thread should work if followed exactly. I fixed mine and several friends units. Also, other CB subscribers have had success with this fix.

I would also suggest to re-send service books and do a batt pull...just to cover the bases. Of course, there might be another fix that needs to be found for the new OS. .89 has been working great for me and I have not been inclined to "upgrade". If someone were to give me a good reason to I might give it a go.
