anyway to get a android on Alltel?

I am in a divested area (Michigan) and want to leave nextel. Verizon will end up ATT in my area so if I switch to Verizon now I will get sold. Alltel in our area has great service so i would like to switch to that the problem is I would really like to end up with a android phone in the Alltel Network (soon to be the "New" Verizon)

Any ideas on how to make that happen?

The Alltel billing system really isn't all that great so it won't really catch it as being a VZW device. You could call in and make the ESN change and be sure to have the smartphone features on the account.

Has anyone heard if the Tour 2 will be offered by Alltel. I live in an area wherein Alltel may become part of ATT. I am up for a new phone...should I get a Tour or hold out for a Tour 2?

i have alltel and it has great service i absouluty love it. and friday which is tomarrow they are getting the android 2.1 so go with alltel. im going to go and get one. i currently have the bb but i hate itt
