Default Anyone in NW Ohio?

Hey everybody! Just switched from my water logged curve to the pearl that I have kept as a spare. I always had 1XEV coverage on the curve, and ever since switching to the pearl this morning the best I can get is 1X. I have called alltel twice today, and they said there have been network problems today. I have tried battery pulls and everything else but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone else in NW ohip is having similar problems or if alltel is feeding me a line. Very frustrating!

Unless you have had a much different customer service experience than I, I'm not really sure why you think they would lie to you about a network issue.

I guess what I don't understand is why the curve had 1XEV up until the point I switched over to the pearl, and now all I get is 1X and sometimes not even that. I would have thought that I would have had a similar problem with the curve before I switched.

The Pearl may have an out-dated PRL. Dial *228 and select the option to update your phone's roaming...

When I went from my Storm, to a curve on VZW about 2 weeks ago, same thing happened, call tech, see if they can't update your VRL, get the Service Books pushed, and then just give it time.

BTW, not every tech rep will like having you tell them what to do, so try my method at your own risk.

Well the problem seems to have resolved itself for now anyway. Today I am back up to 1XEV. Thanks everyone!
