Default Alltel/VZW Questions

Is Alltel going to remain a seperate entity or will it be sold off. I have been a customer for 8 years now and love the service. If Alltel remains would there be a possibility they could get the new BB Tour or Niagara (whatever name it might be). Just curious.

Huh? Where have you been? Vzw bought alltel and the transition is underway even as we speak.

Sorry, should have read more. I was not under a rock though, I knew Alltel was sold just did not know what was going to happen to the non Verizon areas. Looks like I will be an ATT customer.

You can look at the webpage below from Verizon to see which properties are going to be sold off.

Just because your in a non vzw area does not mean your divested, just go into your local store and ask the reps there about your future, they don't always give the best info but it will be better then nothing.

Also, not all areas that were sold off we're purchased by att, as far as I know, so that is also untrue.

I feel sorry for those going to AT&T, they are ****, though I would rather the merger never had happened, I am glad to be going to Verizon

You can call customer service and find out if you're divested. Also if you are going to AT&T you can still port to Verizon Wireless. The only reason why we sold those markets is because Alltell and VzW service overlap there.
