Alltel to Verizon, E-mail problem
I bought the 8830 as an add-on line to an Alltel account before leaving for Europe. Upon returning, I exchanged it for the 9630 Tour. My problem is that I have never quite been able to get my email to work consistently on either phone, either with the first phone or the second, both before or after the merger. As it stands now, I have a Verizon phone on an Alltel plan. I've taken it to the store and they called and had a problem with the merger fixed, so I was told. I've updated my device in BIS, added, deleted and readded the accounts numerous times to my phone. I have deleted and updated the service books and registered on the routing host table. I can seemingly send and receive to myself from multiple accounts, from my computer and my phone but I am not receiving emails that I send from my girlfriend's phone or anyone else. The experience is seemingly the same with my university email, gmail, and vzw.blackberry addresses.
I suppose my next step is to call customer support, at which I expect to be told that I need to cancel my alltel plan for the verizon or something along those lines. Setting that aside, is there anything else I could do or am I stuck calling tech support?
