Alltel prl

is anybody else dialing *228 to update the prl and getting a verizon wireless voice/recording saying that the update can't be performed?
Should I be dialing another number or what?
For the past few days I've had the roaming symbol in my phone and I'm just trying to find out why.

They are in the process of physically integrating former Alltel cell towers into Verizon switches - and there may be some issues while they do that. If you don't see this straighten out by sometime tomorrow - call customer service and get a trouble ticket opened up.
