Alltel GPS

I was wondering if any of you leave your GPS locator on? I am trying to use Poynt more and more, but it always tells me my GPS is off. For some reason I turn it on to use Poynt, then turn it off when done. If I leave this on will it cause any unwanted costs through Alltel or battery drain?

It will not generate additional cost, as it is just hardware in the device. However it will have additional battery drain.
