Yeah, enterprise is your issue. If yours is a work phone on BES - you're out of luck. If your phone is one acquired from a 3rd party reseller - you need to wipe the phone, and re-install the current operating system for Alltel BB World Ed phones.

Your best bet is to use BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (GUI for JL_Cmder).

Download here (Mirror 3): RIMGeeks.com • View topic - [Beta][8/18/09] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.5

Once installed just connect your BlackBerry and choose the option "factory reset" and it will set everything back to where it should be.

Simply wiping the phone will leave the IT Policy intact in most cases.

Reset to Factory. Wiping is just going to uninstall the OS and Third Party apps while leaving the IT Policy hanging around (from my experience in using this tool)..

Once installed just connect your phone and click on "Factory Reset".

So it's still not giving you the option for SMS? And you did the Factory Reset?

That should remove any IT Policy. I guess you could try doing a wipe and reloading the OS, but shouldn't be necessary...
