Alltel .419 email menu problem

Hi all -- I've searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. Last night I loaded Alltel's 5.0.0.419 onto a buddy's Alltel Tour using DM 5.0 -- just a straight update from whatever their last 4.7 os was on his phone

Here's the problem: there is no "send" option after using the reply function for an email, only "save as draft" or "full menu." When he chooses full menu, there still is no send option. So what he has to do is cut and paste into a new email. He's tried a couple of batt pulls.

Thoughts anyone, short of wiping and reinstalling?
