is 9650 coming to Alltel?

Do you think if I get the bold tomorrow that when att takes over they'll let me switch over to the torch when it comes time to dump the cdma phones? Or will they make me get the att bold?

They will give you a few options for models close to what you have. As far as the torch goes no definitive decision has been made, but you may have to upgrade in order to get it.

I have the tour right now. I'm torn between the htc hero and the 9650 bold. But i most definitely want the torch when att takes over.

Unfortunately with it being still another few months away before pre-selection starts, it's hard to say what phones will be included in the choices for the tour or bold. I imagine that it will include the bold's and curve that AT&T currently carries.

Oh well. I got the HTC Hero. I wanted something different and the bold isn't really all that different than the tour.

FYI- they pulled a fast one on us this morning and said that the Bold is not eligible for the 2 yr pricing on 1yr contract. They said with the change to 2 yr contracts tomorrow they decided to just make the bold start a day early with the 2 yr contracts. You can however get it online for cheaper and it still pulls up the 1 yr contract.

Got mine today and I'm in love. It's a great upgrade from that original 8130 I had with 3mb of free file. Had to get a 2yr contract with it, they didn't have the 1yr option any more. Now looking for some great apps.

Would anyone there in the divested market who doesn't want to change devices but can upgrade be willing to buy the phone and sell it to me?
That is absolutely the only way I will get this phone without waiting a year before people start selling it on eBay.
