Request For New Application
I would like to put forth a request for Aerize to create a new application: a program that backs up the device to the memory card.
I have been/still am a Palm pda user, and there are several great backup programs that back up everything to the memory card. Redundant backups are always a good idea, and the backup app that I use for my Palm pda has saved my skin several times. Here are some advantages:
1)Second backup besides desktop - available no matter how far away you are from your computer
2)Sets of backups can be kept in the card, as in the desktop
3)Individual files can be restored, rather than having to restore past backup over a good current one just to restore one file
4)Incremental backups can quickly update backup file to any changes made since the most recent backup - quick, efficient, saves having to go through a whole backup every time an important change is made
Point in case: I use your Card Loader app and store programs I download OTA. One of the apps recently became corrupted, so I deleted it & reloaded it right from the card in a couple seconds (no re-installation & re-setting up needed), rather than trying to log on to Crackberry Appstore to re-download & reinstall it (assuming I would be in a strong signal area for my carrier).
I post this here since I believe you people have plenty of card experience & would be the logical company to develop such a program.
Thank you for your consideration.
