As promised, here is my review of the
Seidio 2600mAh Extended Battery for BlackBerry Curve - ShopCrackBerry !
Hello Crackberry nation! I love my Curve 8330 for Sprint, but for the first week or so I had it, it was unusable after sitting in my workplace all day. I typically work a 9/1/2 hour day in a factory that makes my phone CONSTANTLY search for signal. After a workday where my phone was NEVER used, my battery was typically at 15% when I left work, and any overtime was a guaranteed dead phone when I left. This gave me two choices. 1. Keep it plugged in all day while I was at work. 2. Buy an extended battery and pray it made my phone usable. I chose option 2. and I couldn't be happier with my choice.
Unboxing: Not much to say really. Upon opening the box you simply see a larger battery and a thin plastic door inside of a clear envelope.
Installation: Extremely easy one here. Pop off the battery door, pull out the battery, pop in the new battery, and slip on the battery door.
First impressions: I immediately like the way the small lump on the back of the phone makes it a more comfortable fit in my hand. The larger battery adds a bit of weight, but now I don't feel as though I could crush the phone if I grip it a bit too tightly.
Final verdict:Simply put, I LOVE THIS BATTERY! Before I got this battery, my phone would drain itself to the point of a dead battery WITHOUT EVEN USING IT while I worked a standard 9/1/2 hour day. With this battery, I can work a 10/1/2 hour day while using messenger all day, listening to music for 4 hours, using the browser for an hour, and playing a few games on breaks, AND STILL have 50% battery life when I leave, which is more power than the standard battery has when fully charged! This battery made me not only like my phone on weekends, but LOVE my phone every day.
Pros: Extremely long battery life, louder ring tones and music due to cutouts in door, better grip from rubberized door, slightly meatier feeling phone.
Cons: Some may not like the lump on the back of their phone, or the added weight, but I think the cost is outweighed by the benefits and I like a phone with some girth.
