How I did the test.
I had the brightness up to 100%
I conditioned both batteries to assure a fair test
Charged up both batteries up to 100%
Turned off all radios and bluetooth
unplugged charger and did a battery pull
I recorded the battery levels 4 different time intervals
and combined for a total play time

The OEM
after battery pull 100%
1:30 of video 80%
+2:00 of video 50%
+2:00 of video 10%
Final drain time of 39 mins
Total of 6:09

The Seidio 1600 mAh
after battery pull 100%
1:30 of video 80%
+2:00 of video 50%
+2:00 of video 15%
Final drain time of 52 mins
Total of 6:22

Nice real-word usage test

By my calculations, the 1600 vs the stock 1400mAh battery should give a 14% difference -- and according to your test there was a 3.5% increase only (based on total time of 6:22 vs 6:09)

Sound about right?

Off topic a bit, but if real-world usage is only yielding 3.5% increase instead of the 14% we'd "expect" -- i wonder how the new behemoth 2600mAh 8900 battery from Seidio performs?

One thing i'd be curious about .. IF you had the time xxraffyxx .. run ANOTHER "Real-world" test and see if this time around you get more of an increase? Could be that the new battery needs a few charge cycles (broken in .. ?) to deliver it's best charge?

This was my first review/test video I want to know what you guys thought? too lengthy! lol I need a better program to do video editing.

I had the battery for awhile before I did the test. On the packaging it states "Performance will increase after 5-6 full charges" I've done 10 charges before I made that video.

Hmmm .. so the battery was already well charged then ..

If that's the case, not that impressive gains, huh?

I like the video test, good job

Thanks Jreel. Any ideas why the results were how they were. I thought this was as fair as a test. My radios were turn off, batteries were conditioned, I did a battery pull once batteries were 100% charged, same screen brightness settings, I ran the test on the same storm and the same OS.

To be honest I wanted the seidio to perform better. I think I might do a retest.
