Good review. Glad to see you didn't knock the camera really bad. I love my 8530.

Gonna watch it - Oh, Someone should do one for the 8520 & compare it with the 8530...unless it's the same...lol
ohh, & they should do like the camera quality review on both 8520 & 8530 - Compare the qualities...

I don't get it? It's just the same...

Another thing...If lets say the phone gets dust inside the screen...Is that a manufacturer defect or no? Is it possible to exchange or no? I know it's dumb to ask but I'm asking anyways. Lol

The 8520/8530 are pretty much identical from what I've seen though I would be curious if anything was beefed up outside the 5.0 OS

Glad you liked it!

No dust under the screen is not covered as there are many ways technically for dust to build up simply from poor use on your end. There would be no way to prove that it is because they did something wrong.

You pretty much summed up my views of my 8520. Nice straightforward review, you touched on a few things the 8520/8530 get criticized about.

Okay, I understand.
So now my question is what would be good care?
How else can I take care of my 85xx so no dust will go in the screen?
I loved the review btw.

Good care for it is usually as simple as having a case or pocket pouch if you like to keep it in your pocket. Also it never hurts to wipe the phone down after a day of use.

I wish it had GPS. Or 3G. Or both.
Somehow... I feel like I wish the 8520 was just a GSM 8530. ><

Why did RIM do this to us?

Great review Kevin, very well done. You are absolutely dead on about the camera. For normal picture taking with decent light it takes remarkably good pictures for being just a 2 megapixel camera. Again, great job and keep it coming.
