Capdase's Soft Jacket 2 Xpose for the Bold 9700 Review

I was searching for Capdase-related posts here, but I didn't find too many.

I chose Soft Jacket 2 Xpose for my Bold 9700 because it is the only quality protective case I could find in the mall here in the Philippines. I find the supplied leather holster too tight for my phone and I am worried that the inner lining might scratch it. So I bought this along with a Case Logic rigid case (intended for compact camera though).

The package contains the silicon case and a screen guard. The case is translucent blue and smooth to touch. It doesn't attract any lint and the material appears durable and not too soft and flimsy.

The installation is easy and the case provides a good and tight fit. It allows for a comfortable grip and it doesn't feel bulky at all. It provides good coverage of the bezel and the back. The buttons (sides and top) are covered but functional. The metal contacts for the charging dock are covered though, so this might be a hassle for some. The port for USB, holes for headset and camera are uncovered. Although it provides good access, I wish there were flaps on them to protect from dust and moisture.

To conclude, I really like this case. I'm aware that it is not designed for protection against hard fall, but it is suitable enough for daily use and protection against scratches. It is attractive, lightweight and doesn't add bulk to the phone and comes in four colors (red, blue, smoke black, transparent/white). I bought it for 800 PHP (around 19 US$).
