Default BlackBerry 8800 Series Defender Case by Otterbox

I purchased this accessory for my 8830 a few months ago. It is great for protecting my device, especially the keyboard. For the amount of protection it provides, my device in the case still feels good in my hand (i.e. it does not make it too bulky). All of my output/input slots can be easily accessed and I have no trouble plugging in my headphones, charger, etc. Also, I have no trouble accessing the power, mute, volume or convenience key.

A few things that I don't like about the case is that the bottom row of keys on my keyboard, especially the space key, are awkward to press. The case itself kind of gets in the way. I also noticed that the auto dim feature for the screen seems to be slightly affected, which I assume is due to the height of the case above the front face of the device. Finally, I've found that it is a little bit of a pain to do battery pulls since you essentially have to disassemble the entire case to get to the battery cover. Although this is not that difficult, it is inconvenient.

In summary, the case to me makes the device only a little bit more bulky than I'd like, but not too bad, and I wish that the bottom of the keyboard was not as awkward to press.
