I backed it up so I could install Y! Messenger and I think that was the only time.

I've actually had my blackberry break twice now but fortunately I was still under warranty. After having a minor meltdown, I sent for a replacement and went thru the daunting task of transferring everything from one phone to the other. I'm available for an upgrade soon so Im hopinig to switch to the curve.

no idea how to do a backup and I would cry if i lost it, i would have to mad dash to the nearest store for replacement

I back my Bb up weekly or anytime I add something new, especially if I have made changes to my calendar.

I would just cry if my phone got lost or stolen. I constantly have moments where I think I have lost my bb, not great moments indeed.

I don't back-up since I'm running through the BES and my emails, calendar, tasks, contacts are all wirelessly synced. If I lost my BB I would just call to deactivate. Then all I'm really losing is the cell phone portion as I can still do everything from my work computer.

But I would be one sad person if I lost my BB.

That would be a very bad day if I ever loose my BB. Good thing my job paid for it and I hope they would pay for a replacement should it be stolen.

If I lost it or it was stolen, I'd be fuming. I chose no insurance from Verizon because the upgrade (new every 2; tech rebate; etc.) cost me only $50. I figured insurance would eclipse the cost in less than one year. But, when I have to pay full price for a new one, not to mention rebuying certain applications--I'd be fuming.

I actually lost my BB for a day...and it was terrible! I finally got a hold of the person who found it, drove 45 minutes and picked it up. Lucky me.
